"Doe And Fawn"

"In the early morning stillness, a 'doe and fawn' poise at the edge of a quiet pool.  In a moment she will turn and lead her young into the safety of the deep forest."

ARTIST  COMMENT
"Wild creatures in their gentle beauty have a fascination for me.  This doe and her fawn were photographed in my backyard.  I turned the wooden board fence in the background into a forest and added a pool and large rock in the foreground, to suggest a wild woodland setting.  The position of the fawn to its mother was so natural and appealing, I just had to paint it."
