"When crows gather in more than two together, they are refered to as a 'murder' of crows."

 
Artist comment:  "I like the reference to a group of crows as a 'murder of crows'. It reminds me of the poem by Edgar Allen Poe; 'The Raven'. (Although that phrase does not occur in the poem.) In my research of animal groups, I discovered the term for crows is 'a murder of crows'. Most other birds are referred to as being a flock. Crows are uniquely called by this nomenclature."

"A Murder Of Crows" ACEO

"A Murder Of Crows" is an “Art Cards, editions and originals (ACEO)” giclée print from an original gouache painting by Carol Thompson.   Image size is 2 1/2” X 3 1/2” (standard size for an ACEO).   Release date is March 2009. This substrate is "Epson PremierArt Water Resistant Giclee Canvas", using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks.  The canvas has been coated with PremierArt™ print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints.  This ACEO is signed by the artist, includes a signed certificate of authenticity, and is packaged in a plastic sleeve for protection.
