"A favorite theme of mine is the waves at the jetty at Westport, Washington. The uniqueness of the setting creates large dramatic swells, rolling and breaking. A surfer's (and artist's) dream."

 
Artist comment:  "What a joy it is to be at the edge of the sea and watch big rollers cresting and breaking. In this large painting, I focused on the force and power of a moment when the wave action is at its’ most dramatic. I positioned the sun high on the left to create strong shadows and a brilliant sparkle on the top edge of the swell. A secondary wave in the foreground balances the composition.”

"Westport Wave" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original oil painting by Carol Thompson.  The edition includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs).  Release date is June 2009.  Image size and substrates vary.  All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity.   Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.   Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.

"Westport Wave" is an “Art Cards, editions and originals (ACEO)” giclée print from an original oil painting by Carol Thompson.   Image size is 2 1/2” X 3 1/2” (standard size for an ACEO).   Release date is June 2009. This substrate is "Epson PremierArt Water Resistant Giclee Canvas", using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks.  The canvas has been coated with PremierArt™ print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints.  This ACEO is signed by the artist, includes a signed certificate of authenticity, and is packaged in a plastic sleeve for protection.
