"Along the Pacific Northwest Coast, one sees looming monoliths such as this 'sunset stack'."

Artist comment:  "This is a small oil painting on stretched canvas.  Although only 10" X 12", all the components of a large piece are here.  I sketched an interesting cloud pattern and off-set the rock to allow for the waves and the reflection of the sky and clouds.  The rock was done with a palette knife.  As a finishing touch I painted the trees, then the blue on the darker elements."

"Sunset Stack" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original oil painting by Carol Thompson.  The edition includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs).  Release date is June 2011.  Image size and substrates vary.  All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity.   Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.   Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.
