"The tide is in. The surf is high. The waves roll and crash against volcanic rocks at the edge of the ocean. Sea and sky meet on the distant horizon. The heavily laden clouds hang low, waiting to spill their cargo of rain onto the summer surf below."

 
Artist comment:  "The grey Pacific coastline is a special place for me to see in the summer when a storm is building far out to sea and the surf is rushing in to shore. Since grey is one of my favorite colors, I was enchanted to paint this long narrow format in a monotone of those tones with a hint of the lavender-blue of floating foam."

"Summer Surf" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original oil painting by Carol Thompson.  The edition includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs).  Release date is March 2009.  Image size and substrates vary.  All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity.   Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.   Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.

"Summer Surf" ACEO Diptych

"Summer Surf" is an “Art Cards, editions and originals (ACEO)” diptych giclée print from an original oil painting by Carol Thompson.   Image sizes are 2 1/2” X 3 1/2” (standard size for an ACEO).   Release date is March 2009. This substrate is "Epson PremierArt Water Resistant Giclee Canvas", using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks.  The canvas has been coated with PremierArt™ print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints.  This ACEO diptych is signed by the artist, includes signed certificates of authenticity, and is packaged in plastic sleeves for protection.
