| "Setting Sun"
"Imagine, if you will, strolling along a
quiet Pacific Beach as the sun sets in a blaze of glorious color. A wave
crashes against offshore rocks, throwing a splash into the air to catch
a dazzling rainbow of color. regretfully, you will soon retrace your steps
in the wet sand, as your day ends with the glow of the 'Setting Sun'."
ARTIST COMMENT This oil painting on stretched canvas is one of the first sunsets I printed in limited edition. It has been a favorite of ocean lovers the world over. The location could be any rocky beach on any western shore, where the volcanic flow reaches out into the water. Waves crash against sunken obstacles and send spray into the last rays of radiant red sunlight. I wanted to create a mood of time pausing for a moment so you, the viewer, can drink in the ambience of the perfect sunset at the edge of the sea.
