"A storm is building far out to sea.  Seagulls whirl and the sky darkens as wind driven waves crash relentlessly against unyielding solid 'Pacific Rocks'."

 
Artist comment:  "In the "Biographical" section on my website, I describe in great detail my fondness for foggy days on the Pacific Coast. This painting in oil on stretched canvas portrays that feeling.  The sky is heavy laden and even the rocks seem to be saturated with the dampness.  Yet, there is a hint of clearing as the sun lifts higher toward the zenith.  The setting is a composite of the places I have seen along the mid-Oregon coast,  particularly near "Humbug" Mountain south of Port Orford, Oregon.

All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity.   Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.   Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.

"Pacific Rocks" is an “Art Cards, editions and originals (ACEO)” giclée print from an original oil painting by Carol Thompson.   Image size is 2 1/2” X 3 1/2” (standard size for an ACEO).   Release date is October 1999. This substrate is "Epson PremierArt Water Resistant Giclee Canvas", using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks.  The canvas has been coated with PremierArt™ print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints.  This ACEO is signed by the artist, includes a signed certificate of authenticity, and is packaged in plastic sleeves for protection.
