"Gazing out from shore, you see the early morning light illuminating a rising 'incoming wave'."

Artist comment:  "By using shades of blue in horizontal 'stripes', I wanted to emphasize the soft green of a wave building and beginning to tumble onto itself.  The linear composition is counterpointed by the angular patterns of floating foam.  This oil on canvas was a delight to paint (for me, foam patterns are the 'icing on the cake', and this one is nearly all icing!).  The shadowed blue foreground is created to represent a cliff or sand dune behind the viewer standing securely on shore."

"Incoming" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original oil painting by Carol Thompson.  The edition includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs).  Release date is September 2011.  Image size and substrates vary.  All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity.   Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.   Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.
