Because Carol Thompson paints in ideal daylight, this painting will take on different moods as lighting changes, whether throughout the day with the natural ambiant light or by using artificial lights. 

Experiments using dimmer controlled multiple 90 watt halogen bulbs determined that very similar results could be obtained using sophisticated computer software by decreasing the brightness in the image, thus providing more consistent examples.
