Artist comment: "The Oregon coast has many wonderful and exciting scenes, and the places set aside to stop and view them. I am intrigued by the way the large fir trees grow so closely to the waters edge. In this oil painting on stretched canvas, I wanted to show the tenuous nature of the relationship of the trees to the constantly churning ocean. Even the clouds suggest an anxious feeling as if a storm may form as the tide rises, and the evergreens are threatened. Except for the confident soaring of the gulls and the sunlight clinging to the day, the mood may be one of despair." |

"Coastline" is a limited edition, giclée
print from an original oil painting by Carol Thompson. The edition
includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered
and 100 artist proofs). Release date is April 1999. Image size and substrates
vary.
All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity. Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.
Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray. |
