"Somewhere at the edge of the sea, a 'squawking gull' notifies one and all of it's presence.”

Artist comment:  "I chose to absract the background to render in soft pastel the setting for a common 'seagull'. Its pose and attitude convey it's raucaus call. I chose shades of warm reds and purples to serve as a foil for the green shadow of the bird as the low sun casts the shadow on the ground."

"Squawking Gull" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original pastel painting by Carol Thompson.  The edition includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs).  Release date is January 2011.  Image size and substrates vary.   All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity.   Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.   Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.
