"On a gray overcast day, a ‘seagull and pelican’ stand contemplating their next moves."

Artist comment:  "When the brown pelicans migrate through Washington State, they are a wondrous sight on the beach. Sometimes they are gathered in flocks and sometimes solitary. My research revealed that gulls will pester a pelican when it is feeding until it gives up it’s catch to the raucus seagull. In this pastel on Canson Mi-Teintes paper, I focused on the tension between these two birds. The cool gray of the scene sets off the warm tones in the faces and feet of the ‘seagull and pelican’.”

"Seagull And Pelican" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original pastel painting by Carol Thompson.  The edition includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs).  Release date is September 2010. Image size and substrates vary.   All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity.   Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.   Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.
