"As the waves roll in at the ocean beach, a crow and a seagull seem to be at a stand-off, each one waiting for the other to be the first to fly off into the summer breeze."

 
Artist comment:  "Frequently a crow and a seagull may be seen together in close association. Perhaps it is that mean denominator of a reliable food source. It may be a curiosity of one toward the other. This pair seems to be eyeing each other nonchalantly as if to discern the motivation of the other. If there is an opportunity to spy a morsel, one doesn't want to give the other any chance to grab it. This scene seems to convey a moment of indecision after which each will go its separate way, to fly off to secure a morsel exposed by the tidal wash."

"I'll Go First After You" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original gouache painting by Carol Thompson.  The edition includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs).  Release date is February 2009.  Image size and substrates vary.   All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity.   Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.   Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.

"I'll Go First After You" ACEO

"I'll Go First After You" is an “Art Cards, editions and originals (ACEO)” giclée print from an original gouache painting by Carol Thompson. Image size is 2 1/2” X 3 1/2” (standard size for an ACEO). Release date is February 2009. This substrate is "Epson PremierArt Water Resistant Giclee Canvas", using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks. The canvas has been coated with PremierArt™ print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints.  This ACEO is signed by the artist, includes a signed certificate of authenticity, and is packaged in a plastic sleeve for protection.
