Artist comment:  "Birds need to groom. Their feathers are their very 'life-line'. I always travel with my camera at-the-ready to capture interesting subjects to paint. Here a seagull, oblivious to all outside distractions, is preparing its body for another flight over the bay in its never-ending quest for food."

"Getting Groomed For Flight" ACEO

"Getting Groomed For Flight" is an “Art Cards, editions and originals (ACEO)” giclée print from an original gouache painting by Carol Thompson. Image size is 3 1/2” X 2 1/2” (standard size for an ACEO). Release date is March 2009. This substrate is "Epson PremierArt Water Resistant Giclee Canvas", using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks. The canvas has been coated with PremierArt™ print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints.  This ACEO is signed by the artist, includes a signed certificate of authenticity, and is packaged in a plastic sleeve for protection.
