"Still tended by the U.S. Coast Guard, this
structure stands at an elevation of 200 feet on a bluff overlooking the
dangerous waters of the Columbia bar. The light was illuminated in 1856
and is surrounded by Fort Canby State Park near Ilwaco, Washington."
