| "Alki Point Lighthouse"
"The present tower and fog signal building
was completed in 1918 on the site where the schooner 'Exact' landed with
Seattle, Washington's founders in 1851. The original prismatic lens has
been replace by a modern light and the foghorns have been removed from
the sides of the building. Alki Point is the turning place between Seattle
and Tacoma at the southern entrance to Elliott Bay."
