"Still standing at it's originally authorized location, this squat, sturdy lighthouse has faithfully guided ships since 1890.  The beautiful first order Fresnel lens is one of only two eight sided lights in America.  Now a tourist attraction, this diminutive lighthouse and its magnificent lens can be seen at Cape Meares park, 10 miles West of Tillamook, Oregon."
