Artist comment:  "The Point Cabrillo Lighthouse is located north of  Mendocino, California.  This one story diminutive lighthouse is situated high above the surface of the ocean, and thus shines her light far out to sea.  I have been to this location many times, and always find inspiration in the remote, romantic scenery of the lighthouse and her surroundings.  I chose to paint this sunny day in gouache, to emphasize the warmth and luminosity of the setting.  Gouache has a quality of softness that lends itself to the notion of the beacon guiding mariners safely through treacherous waters."

"Point Cabrillo Lighthouse" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original oil painting by Carol Thompson.  The edition includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs).  Release date is November 2002.  Image size and substrates vary.   All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity.   Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.   Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.

"Point Cabrillo Lighthouse" ACEO

"Point Cabrillo Lighthouse" is an “Art Cards, editions and originals (ACEO)” giclée print from an original oil painting by Carol Thompson. Image size is 2 1/2” X 3 1/2” (standard size for an ACEO). Release date is November 2002. This substrate is "Epson PremierArt Water Resistant Giclee Canvas", using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks. The canvas has been coated with PremierArt™ print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints.  This ACEO is signed by the artist, includes a signed certificate of authenticity, and is packaged in a plastic sleeve for protection.
