"Below the rolling hills and above the quiet stream a cozy farmhouse sets, as though it 'grew up' with the surrounding trees."

 
Artist comment:  "I like the look of old farmhouses that are so much a part of the landscape that they appear as old as the trees themselves. This scene was a result of travel on the backroads of the Northwest. As I rounded a corner, I saw this house high on a hill nestled in the trees and shrubery. I painted the scene in autumn colors with pastel to convey the warm feeling I got from that moment."

"The Farmhouse On The Hill" ACEO

"The Farmhouse On The Hill" is an “Art Cards, editions and originals (ACEO)” giclée print from an original pastel painting by Carol Thompson. Image size is 2 1/2” X 3 1/2” (standard size for an ACEO). Release date is February 2009. This substrate is "Epson PremierArt Water Resistant Giclee Canvas", using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks. The canvas has been coated with PremierArt™ print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints.  This ACEO is signed by the artist, includes a signed certificate of authenticity, and is packaged in a plastic sleeve for protection.
