"Fog Coming Up (Mt. Rainier)" by Carol Thompson

"On a lazy autumn afternoon, the temperature warms the foothills of Mount Rainier and 'the fog coming up' shrouds the mountains base."

Artist comment:  "When I lived in Olympia, Washington, Mount Rainier loomed large on the eastern horizon, providing multitudes of opportunities to paint it.  This oil painting on tempered masonite board is relatively small.  I painted it entirely with a palette knife, giving texture to the trees, rocks, and mountain.  Even the fog was rendered with smooth, sweeping knife strokes."

"Fog Coming Up (Mt. Rainier)" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original oil painting by Carol Thompson.  The edition includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs).  Release date is April 2011.  Image size and substrates vary.  All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity.   Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.   Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.
