Artist comment:  "Attending a kite convention in Hawai'i was a thrill of a lifetime. Not only was the setting enchanting, but the unusual innovations by kite makers were worth the trip. This 'Revolution' was so extraordinary, I knew I had to paint it. It could be made to hover, fly straight up or straight down, and spin innumerable times before having to unwind. I painted the kite against the palm trees in the background to remind myself, (and others) of the wonderful times spent on the island of Oahu."
