"Soft white blossoms pop up in profusion along roadsides and in vacant lots as well as in cultivated gardens.  It must be 'late summer', and these hardy wild flowers announce Autumn's approach."

 
Artist comment:  "It is so plentiful along roadsides and in vacant lots (also popping up uninvited in gardens) that Queen Anne's Lace is considered by many to be a weed.  I look at her differently.  She makes great long-lasting accent flowers in formal bouquets, or pop a few stems in a soda bottle and set them on the kitchen counter to admire as you cook or clean.  It is why I look forward to late summer."

"Late Summer" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original watercolor painting by Carol Thompson.   The edition includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs).  Release date is January 2001.   Image size and substrates vary. All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity.   Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.   Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.

Late Summer ACEO

"Late Summer" ACEO

"Late Summer" is an “Art Cards, editions and originals (ACEO)” giclée print from an original watercolor painting by Carol Thompson. Image size is 3 1/2” X 2 1/2” (standard size for an ACEO). Release date is January 2001. This substrate is "Epson PremierArt Water Resistant Giclee Canvas", using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks. The canvas has been coated with PremierArt™ print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints.  This ACEO is signed by the artist, includes a signed certificate of authenticity, and is packaged in a plastic sleeve for protection.
