"From a field of golden daffodils, I gathered a handfull to place in a contemporary vase for a cheerful 'spring bouquet'."

 

Artist comment:  "Daffodils are some of the first flowers to 'pop' up in the Pacific Northwest.  To enjoy them to their fullest, I like to have them in my home to brighten the continuing grey days.  So, what better subject to paint with watercolor!  I used 140# hot-pressed Arches watercolor paper.  After carefully sketching this subject, I wet the paper all around the 'upper' background and dropped in washes of color.  After that dried, I washed in the 'table'.  Then I meticulously painted the leaves and flowers and finished with the vase and it's reflection."

"Spring Bouquet" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original watercolor painting by Carol Thompson.  The edition includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs).  Release date is April 2010.  Image size and substrates vary.   All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity.   Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.   Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.

"Spring Bouquet" ACEO

"Spring Bouquet" is an “Art Cards, editions and originals (ACEO)” giclée print from an original watercolor painting by Carol Thompson. Image size is 3 1/2” X 2 1/2” (standard size for an ACEO). Release date is April 2010. This substrate is "Epson PremierArt Water Resistant Giclee Canvas", using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks. The canvas has been coated with PremierArt™ print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints.  This ACEO is signed by the artist, includes a signed certificate of authenticity, and is packaged in a plastic sleeve for protection.
