Artist comment: "For me the most eagerly anticipated blossoms of Spring are the daffodils. Winter is just barely started when their leaves poke out of the ground, soon followed by the golden glow of the flowers. This scene painted in watercolor on 140# Arches hot-pressed watercolor paper, is of a natural setting with daffodils popping up randomly throughout the wooded landscape. To contrast the warm tones of the yellow and orange, I toned the leaves bue-green and greyed the muted browns in the background. The composition is designed so your eye can "dance" through the picture, as a joyful ode to Spring." |

"Daffodils" is a limited edition, giclée
print from an original watercolor painting by Carol Thompson. The edition
includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered
and 100 artist proofs). Release date is May 1999. Image size and substrates
vary.
All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity. Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.
Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.
