Artist comment:  "The title has a two-fold meaning. I painted the Earnest once before from a frontal view as she rested on the waters of the Columbia River at Astoria, Oregon. This painting of her from the rear is the 'rest' of the Earnest. This painting was done with pastel on Canson Mi-Teintes paper, rendered in a realistic manner. The soft pink in the sky and water indicates a hint of the glowing sunset.”

"The Rest Of Earnest" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original pastel painting by Carol Thompson. The edition includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs). Release date is January 2011. Image size and substrates vary. All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity.   Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.   Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.
