"It has been a wonderful day on the water.  Now as the last glow of day illuminates Mt. Rainier in the distance, colors play across the bay silhouetting a graceful sailboat in this Gig Harbor, Washington sunset."

 
Artist comment:  "I chose gouache to paint this sunset scene because this medium has the luminous quality I wanted to portray as the setting sun set the mountain aglow.  My substrate was a smooth illustration board to capture the detail of the harbor with its many boats and buildings.  I kept the colors simple with a complimentary palette to enhance the vibrancy of the scene."

"Harbor Sunset" ACEO

"Harbor Sunset" is an “Art Cards, editions and originals (ACEO)” giclée print from an original gouache painting by Carol Thompson.   Image size is 2 1/2” X 3 1/2” (standard size for an ACEO).   Release date is December 2000 . This substrate is "Epson PremierArt Water Resistant Giclee Canvas", using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks.  The canvas has been coated with PremierArt™ print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints.  This ACEO is signed by the artist, includes a signed certificate of authenticity, and is packaged in a plastic sleeve for protection.
