"The large Sause Brothers tug, 'Chinook', is on the ply on the Columbia River near Astoria, Oregon.”

Artist comment:  "West of the Astoria-Megler Bridge, I spied this great tug pulling a barge.  I chose to depict, with art on canvas, just the boat (I will paint a large horizontal scene with everything on it later).  I like the grey sky and the soft hills diminishing into the distance, setting off the dark sleek lines of the boat.  Two pilings with aged moss on them balance the composition.”

"Chinook On The Ply" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original pastel painting by Carol Thompson.  The edition includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs).  Release date is April 2011.  Image size and substrates vary.   All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity.   Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.   Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.
