"It is the quiet time of the morning.  Seagulls have begun to gather at the docks waiting for the fishing boats to head out for the day.  Soon activities will begin at Brookings Harbor on the Oregon Coast."

 
Artist comment:  "I arrived in Brookings, Oregon just as the sun began to rise.  I always carry my camera and a note pad when traveling.  When I saw this serene vista, I took a series of photographs to paint later with pastel on Canson Mi-Teintes paper.  It was altogether an awesome trip."
