Artist comment:  "An old dump truck sets among weeds and tall grass. As I stood and gazed at it, I could imagine the many years of service it was asked to perform. It's formerly red exterior is now mostly rust. With one headlight broken, and its dump bed forever frozen in a half-raised position, I was reminded of the days when it was sorely needed and ready to do what was required of it. The use of gouache was a tribute to the patina given it by 'Time' itself."

"Working Class Hero" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original gouache painting by Carol Thompson.  The edition includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs).  Release date is February 2009.  Image size and substrates vary.  All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity.   Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.   Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.

"Working Class Hero" ACEO

"Working Class Hero" is an “Art Cards, editions and originals (ACEO)” giclée print from an original gouache painting by Carol Thompson.   Image size is 2 1/2” X 3 1/2” (standard size for an ACEO).   Release date is February 2009 . This substrate is "Epson PremierArt Water Resistant Giclee Canvas", using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks.  The canvas has been coated with PremierArt™ print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints.  This ACEO is signed by the artist, includes a signed certificate of authenticity, and is packaged in a plastic sleeve for protection.
