Artist comment:  "While driving between Aberdeen and Westport, Washington, I spied this wonderful old car.  I knew gouache would be a perfect medium to convey the soft aging of the paint, and the rust spots beginning to eat away at its former grandeur.  This old Buick (of early 1950's vintage) was at one time a luxury car, envied by many who saw her gracefully touring the roadways of the West, in 'days long gone by'."

"Days Long Gone By" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original gouache painting by Carol Thompson.  The edition includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs).  Release date is February 2009.  Image size and substrates vary.  All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity.   Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.   Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.

"Days Long Gone By" ACEO Diptych

"Days Long Gone By" is an “Art Cards, editions and originals (ACEO)” diptych giclée print from an original gouache painting by Carol Thompson.   Image sizes are 2 1/2” X 3 1/2” (standard size for an ACEO).   Release date is February 2009. This substrate is "Epson PremierArt Water Resistant Giclee Canvas", using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks.  The canvas has been coated with PremierArt™ print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints.  This ACEO diptych is signed by the artist, includes signed certificates of authenticity, and is packaged in plastic sleeves for protection.
